Clause 4.5.9 permits the implementation of 'further relevant requirements'. To ensure that the resultant finish is 'fit for purpose' the points or issues detailed below are recommended to be augmented with additional clauses:

  • the criteria for acceptable powder formulations
  • a prohibition of alternative pretreatment systems
  • the criteria for an acceptable standard of surface appearance
  • the criteria for the viewing conditions for surface appearance
  • a method for assessing the specular gloss of metallic powders 
  • the criteria for how film thickness measurements are to be undertaken
  • the sampling plans and acceptance criteria for film thickness
  • the restrictions as to where film thickness readings may be taken
  • the spacing of the cross-cuts in the adhesion test 
  • the manner in which test panels are prepared for the cure test
  • the criteria for a conforming range of colour variation
  • definition for items permitted to be selected for colour comparison
  • the criteria for the frequency at which any test should be undertaken
  • acceptable site applied remedial systems
  • independent acceptance inspections
  • the conformance of the applicator to these additional clauses
